Tall Tales Contest
Room 2, Strathcona Community Centre401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park, AB
It began 14 years ago as a "one of" fun contest to involve all the Toastmaster clubs in Sherwood Park. It has grown into a much loved and anticipated yearly tradition. Who knew Toastmasters would love telling and listening to outlandish stories? So once again this year, members of Toastmasters clubs from Sherwood Park (and possibly Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan) will compete to tell the best Tall Tale they can. As it is a contest, it will be judged by a panel of judges. The winner will have the bragging rights of telling the best wild story in the district, will have their name engraved on a beautiful trophy, and will receive a cash prize. We, the audience, will witness a thoroughly enjoyable evening of hilarious storytelling.
